Egyptian Mermaids

lucy ray September 26, 2014

I had these portrait in mind when I went to the Red Sea so I took the chiffon dress along just in case. We managed to assemble a team on board for the shoot, two models (Thanks Jen and Chantal!) and safety divers Richard, Terry and Dan (Thanks guys). As we were living on the boat it was a bit tricky to find the perfect spot for the photos. We needed about a meter of water and a clearing in the coral so we didn't damage anything (or anyone). As you can see we did find such a place and the girls did incredibly well to model a long dress in very salty water. They had to share the dress and change in the sea. Lesser models would not have accepted such conditions!  Time was limited too as we had to get back on board for the night dive so we grabbed these shots in less than half an hour. Not bad guys!
